Educational institutions celebrate Christmas

JAMMU, Dec 25: Various educational institutions celebrated Christmas.
The students of The Shri Ram Universal School, Samba presented a spectacular Inter-House Christmas Carol Singing Contest to celebrate the spirit of festivity of Christmas and New Year. The entire virtual stage vibrated with the echoes of Christmas carols. The virtual screen wore a festival look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The children in their bright and elaborated costumes were a delight to watch. The jingle bell song completed with a jig got the entire audience singing along. The shimmering dresses added more beauty to the little girls and saw the grand entry of the little Santa Clause with his gifts in red glittering bag waving and distributing candies to everyone’s delight. The programme concluded with speech of the Principal Rajesh Rathore.
Christmas was celebrated at International Delhi Public School. On the occasion, Father Kuriakose was chief guest, while SDPO City Sharad Kalu was guest of honour. The special guest was Manisha Choudhary and the Management of IDPS Suminder Singh, Managing Director IDPS, and Monica Mittal Founder and chairperson Aradhana-A ray of hope were also present. The festivities and Christmas celebration would have not been completed without the presence of the little angels from Aradhana-A ray of hope. IDPS also arranged special games and fulfilled atmosphere in their campus fallowed by snacks and gifts distribution and concluded with cake cutting.
Cradle2Crayons,School, Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu, celebrated Christmas in a virtual ceremony on Zoom platform in which teachers and students of all classes, dressed in traditional red and white, participated. An online activity of making art forms of Christmas Tree and Santa Claus was conducted with the ‘bindis and beads” substituting for bells, stars and toys. The carols were sung by some while others recited poems or performed live dances. The students were told about Jesus and his message of truth, sacrifice, righteousness and sharing.
