JAMMU, Jan 20: An Educational-cum-Motivational Tour comprising of Sarpanches, Panchayat members, teachers, local leaders and social workers was flagged off by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Sohanda, under Delta Force, today.
The Tour was flagged-off by General Officer Commanding Delta Force in an impressive and well attended function.
According to the organizers the participants will be visiting various historical places of educational and cultural interest in Noida, Ajmer and Udaipur over a period of 11 days.
At the flagging-off ceremony, the participants were addressed by General Officer Commanding, who stressed upon them to use this opportunity for the larger benefit of the society. The General emphasized on the importance of being acquainted with the rich heritage and culture of our great country.
The Tour will provide an opportunity to interact with citizens of different states and gain an insight into the transcendental change that peace and tranquility ushers bringing prosperity and development.
The participants appreciated the efforts of Indian Army in organizing the tour, as it will help to broaden the horizons and gain the knowledge of various places.
