SAMBA, Jan 20: District Information Centre, Samba organized a debate competition on the topic ‘Say No to Drugs’ at Jeevan Jyoti Public School, Abtal, here today.
Sarpanch Tejinder Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Ghar Singh was adjudged as the best speaker, while Shwali Dogra and Sonali Kumari got 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. The consolation prizes were also given to Kavita Choudhary and Payal Kumari.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of the Information department for organising such programmes which are supportive for sensitizing the masses about the ill affect of drugs and intoxicants.
Among others, Panchs, prominent citizens, staff members, students and large number of locals were also present on the occasion.
