JAMMU, May 20: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) Vice President Joginder Kumar Digra has appealed to Sakeena Itoo, Minister for School Education Department . to announce summer vacations in Summer Zone.
Stating that heat waves are disturbing the health of the students of Govt/private schools while in rural areas electricity problem is also an issue and students are suffering a lot, he demanded announcement of summer vacations to prevent students from heat strokes.
He also urged Director School Education Jammu to immediately curtail the school timing from six hours to four hours till formal order for summer vacations is issued.
