JAMMU, Feb 7: A General Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) organised by the SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI), Jammu, concluded at its Roop Nagar campus with the participation of 18 candidates from different parts of Jammu district.
A small valedictory function was held during which certificates were distributed to the trainees by Director SBI RSETI Jammu, Sunny Goja, along with District Officer, J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (JKKVIB) Jammu, Mohammad Sadiq.
Addressing the participants, the JKKVIB officer explained the JKREGP scheme, a credit-linked subsidy scheme of the UT Government, under which a 35 percent subsidy is routed through J&K Bank to beneficiaries.
He encouraged the trainees to start their self-employment ventures after availing bank loans.
Goja assured the participants of continued support from SBI RSETI in the future and motivated them to become successful entrepreneurs and generate employment.
She also highlighted that SBI RSETI Jammu provides intensive short-term residential training programmes with free food and accommodation for unemployed rural youth.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by faculty members Shallu Sharma and Sheetal.
