JAMMU, July 8: An e-Bus conductor died after the bike he was riding on collided head on with another two-wheeler here today.
A two-wheeler (JK02DE-0428) driven by one Mohammad Maroof (24) son of Mohammad Rafiq of Bhalwal collided with another bike (JK02CT-1418) driven by one Sunil Kumar of Bhalwal at Rajpur Chungi area near Pawan Fruit Ice Cream on the Jammu-Akhnoor Highway, resulting in injuries to the duo, a police official said.
They were taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where Mohammad Maroof was declared as dead on arrival while Sunil Kumar is undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.
After conducting the post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family members, he said.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case FIR number 95/2025 under sections 281, and 125(A) of the BNS at Police Station Domana and started further investigation into the matter.
