DySP Sheikh Aadil reinstated after being cleared of all charges

SRINAGAR, Aug 12: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sheikh Aadil has been reinstated after the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir ordered the closure of departmental proceedings against him.
According to official sources, the decision followed an investigating agency’s report which found no substance in allegations under the Prevention of Corruption Act, leading to the case being closed as “not proved.”
The court had earlier dismissed the charge sheet for related offences under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The Inquiry Commission, after a detailed examination, fully exonerated Sheikh Aadil, while the Intelligence Wing’s independent assessment also gave him a clean chit.
Based on these findings, the Government has formally closed the case and ordered his immediate return to duty.
