‘Cong must clear its stand on Art 370 abrogation’

Srinagar, Apr 6: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) J&K In-charge and the National General Secretary, Tarun Chugh, today said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected the dynasts, accusing them of playing politics over dead bodies.

Addressing a press conference here on the occasion of the party’s foundation day, he said that the BJP empowered J&K’s STs, SCs, and women, who, he said, were deprived of everything by the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi-Nehru families.

“These three families in J&K have always played politics and always remained in the race of scoring political points. They did their politics over the dead bodies,” Chugh said.
He said that these parties must know that they have been rejected by the people. “They had kept the STs, SCs, and women bound; we liberated them. These dynasts had stopped the journey of development in J&K, and we have started it,” he said, stressing that their politics will not work now.
He alleged that these three families have always wanted to keep J&K lagging; however, he said, “Gone are their days.”
Chugh also came down on Congress, asking the party to come clean on its stand on the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A. “If they are in alliance with PDP or NC, then they should come clean on it.”
He further said that the manifesto released by the Congress party is a mere “illusion” and that the party lacks a vision for the country.
“I don’t know if the manifesto has been made or written outside India as it smells of George Soros’s toolkit. They do not have the vision for the country. They were given ample time, but they have done nothing,” he said.
Chugh said that for these dynasts, their family is their country, and for PM Modi, he said, the people of India are his family.
“These family parties have killed democracy within their parties. They have become ‘shahi dawakhana’, run by those who lack not only the merit but also the necessary qualification,” he said.
On the occasion, he said that today’s J&K is the PM’s changed J&K and a place that the people of J&K always wanted and strived for.
“Shyama Prasad Mukherjee strived for ensuring that the people of J&K have more rights and worked towards getting rid of Articles 370 and 35-A. For that, he sacrificed his life. This land is pure and inspirational for us.”
He said that the workers of the BJP have worked hard and with a vision “that the part of Jammu & Kashmir occupied by Pakistan forcibly is to be liberated.”
“They have worked for brotherhood, peace, and development to thrive in J&K and at the same time have ensured that the Pakistan, China agenda fails.”
Chugh named Tika Lal Taploo and Wasim Bari among those who sacrificed their lives. “The list of such workers is long; they will be remembered for times to come; BJP is the biggest and well-organized party in the world currently.”

“80 crore people are getting free grains. 10 crore families have been given basic facilities. 4 crore poor people have got their houses. It is a revolution,” he said.
Chugh, on the occasion, said that PM Modi is committed to the security of the people of the nation from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Kutch to Guwahati.
“It is our commitment that those who will mess with us will not be spared at any cost. Even if that means going inside their territory, there will be no compromise on terrorism. The guarantee of protection of people from terrorism is now PM Modi,” he said.
He said that India has now become the 5th economy in the world, and due to the PM’s vision and policies, the economy has improved. “We are aiming to take it to number 3, and that will be done in the third term. We have to become a developed nation.”
Chugh further said that India is leading the world when it comes to matters related to the environment and security. “India has proven itself when it comes to the security of the people in the country or rescuing its nationals stuck elsewhere.”
