Dynastic rulers responsible for present situation: Vakil

JAMMU, Feb 15:  Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek chief and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil  today voiced concern over the repeated escalation at borders and increased militant activities in the Kashmir valley.
In a press statement issued here, Vakil said the Government of India should resume dialogue process without further delay as it is the only option to restore peace in J&K. Vakil said that the killings won’t solve any issue.
“How long will people get killed on both sides of Kashmir. Dialogue is the only way forward to solve all outstanding issues,” he opined.
Vakil, however, showed surprise over the statements of National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah. He said Dr Farooq has become a “literal chameleon” who is changing his colours like anything just for the greed of power. “Dr Farooq is adding fuel to the fire by talking of war. The mess in Kashmir is because of these dynastic rulers. This shows that they are not sincere in issues and they want only power by hook or crook,” he added.
Vakil said the recent remarks of Farooq Abdullah that India would be left with no option but to wage war against Pakistan is something termed as war mongering and such statements coming from a person like him, whose family is responsible for the prevailing mess in Kashmir, because of their mis-governance and political deceits from time to time.
“It is not the time of talk hate or war. It is the time to call for dialogue. Dr Farooq earlier said that India has nothing to do with Pakistani side of Kashmir. Now, he talks of waging war against Pakistan,” Vakil added.
He advised Dr Abdullah to must talk of dialogue and not war. “These dynastic rulers are responsible for the present situation in Kashmir. They deceived people from time to time. Where has gone the plebiscite movement of Sheikh Abdullah,” he said.
