DyCM reviews status of land identification for IIT

JAMMU, June 21: Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh today convened a meeting with the officers   of the concerned departments to review the status of land identification for setting up of IIT campus  in Jammu.
During the meeting discussions were also held on issues pertaining to setting up of temporary campus for IIT.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pawan Kotwal, Commissioner Secretary Higher  Education Sarita Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh, Chief Engineer R&B Jammu Alok Mengi, SE R&B Jammu SP Manhas, Chief Conservator of Forest Roshan Jaggi, Regional Wild Life Warden, Jammu and  DFO Jammu were also present in the meeting.
The DyCM was apprised that land has been identified at Khanpur Nagrota and central team had also inspected the same. Dr. Singh impressed upon officers of Forest and Wild Life Departments to work in  synergy with the concerned departments  for resolving the issues pertaining to clearance  expeditiously.
