DyCM pays obeisance at Shiv Khori shrine

REASI, Jan 1: Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand today visited Shiv Khori in Reasi district and paid obeisance at the holy shrine.
The Deputy Chief Minister described this religious destination as one of the most revered cave shrines of the region. He said that efforts are being made by the Government to develop and promote this scenic spot besides Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB) has launched various projects to create and upgrade facilities for the visiting devotees.
While interacting with the devotees, the Deputy Chief Minister enquired them about the facilities there and appealed them to be messengers of peace for the State. He said the number of pilgrims to the shrine is increasing day by day and is expected to touch new heights in the coming year.
Tara Chand said that it is a matter of great satisfaction that the Shiv Khori shrine is emerging as the second largest pilgrimage destination after Mata Vaishno Devi. The SSKSB has taken a number of development works, which included construction of sarai, shelter sheds, bathroom and toilet facilities, adequate provision of drinking water, power supply, development of parks and gardens for the convenience of the pilgrims.
Among others, the Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Nirmal Sharma and other senior officers of various departments.
