JAMMU, Nov 27: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved an extension in the upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in Department of Personnel & Training, presently held by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, a 1997 batch AGMUT Cadre IAS officer, for a term up to November 18, 2026.
Dwivedi is among eight senior IAS officers, whose posts have been sanctioned for extension in temporary up-gradation by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions of the Department of Personnel and Training.

Dwivedi has previously held several important assignments in Jammu and Kashmir, including Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department, Commissioner/ Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department, Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, and headed the JKIMPARD.
Earlier in his career, he worked as Deputy Commissioner of Jammu, Rajouri and Leh, besides holding key positions in Education and Rural Development Departments.
He also served two terms as Additional CEO of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
