JAMMU, June 19: A meeting of Durganagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of its president, Roshan Lal Raina today.
The meeting discussed various problems being faced by the people of the area which included erratic power and water supply, construction and blacktopping of roads as well lanes and construction of drains.
The meeting appealed the advisors to visit and hear the grievances of the people. It, while expressing high hope in advisors and administrative heads said after hearing the problems on spot the solutions can be found to solve out the problems.
The meeting demanded that various welfare schemes announced by PM be extended to migrants also who have lost their homes and hearths.
Meeting appealed the Chief Engineer, R&B to call the tenders of civil works for Durga Nagar prior to setting in of Monsoon.
Those who attended the meeting included Bihari Lal, C L Zutshi, Badri Nath, Bansi Lal, Nana Ji, Girshari Lal, BJP Mandal president, Makhan Lal and its zonal president, Bushan Lal.
