DT holds meet, reviews temples restoration, future plans

JAMMU, Mar 17: To review ongoing works and outline future initiatives, the Jammu & Kashmir Dharmarth Trust convened an important meeting of its Trustees, Council Members and senior office bearers, here today
The meeting was chaired by Chairman Trustee Dr Karan Singh, who lauded the Trust’s sustained efforts in restoring temples damaged in various parts of the Union Territory, including Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Srinagar.
He emphasized the need to further enhance facilities and improve the overall experience for devotees at prominent shrines such as Raghunath Ji Temple and Ranbireshwar Temple.
The meeting was attended by Trustees Vikramaditya Singh, Ajatshatru Singh, Martand Singh and Ranvijay Singh.
During the session, president of DT, Dr P S Pathania presented a detailed overview of renovation and restoration works undertaken across various temples in Jammu and Kashmir.
Discussions were also held on the development plans for Sri Raghunath Sanskrit Maha Vidyalaya and the Ranbir Sanskrit Research Library.
The proposed budget for the financial year 2026–27 was presented by Dr Pathania and deliberated upon by the Trustees and Council Members.
Secretary of the Trust Ashok Sharma briefed the gathering on ongoing employee welfare initiatives and key administrative reforms being implemented within the organization.
Among others who attended the meeting included Pandit Vishwamurti Shastri, S M Sahni, Vishal Abrol, and Sunil Trakru, along with Additional Secretaries of the Trust.
