DSRS organizes expert talk on “prospectus of StartUps in Rising India”

JAMMU, May 9: The Department of Strategic and Regional Studies (DSRS), University of Jammu, organized a talk on “Prospects of StartUps in Rising India”, here today.
The talk was delivered by Bneat Singh, a United Kingdom-based financial expert and an alumnus of Jammu University. He explained in detail about the startUp companies as new born companies formed on innovative and brilliant ideas, whose focus is to provide innovative service with an intention of catering the need of the society, market or nation.
He also threw light on the major problem start-ups face while creating a new innovative business ideas and finding business opportunities. The lifecycle of startUps has three phases, which include “Pre start up”, “Start up stage” and “Development or Extension stage”, he explained.
Later, the focus of his talk was on the competitive atmosphere produced from the growing requirements in India which are compelling the country to generate innovative entrepreneurial systems. He stressed that India is one of the most productive market in the world and that is why all MNCs are eyeing the largest pie of venture prospect in India. “India is now the hub of Start-up ecosystem in the world, ranking third with 90,000 Start-Ups and 107 unicorn companies worth 30 billion dollars which has been possible only by the contribution of India’s youth,” he said. He also shed light on how and why start-Ups flourish and fail in India and how the Government and aspirants of start-ups need to look into this aspect to make India a great success story.
Prof Virender Koundal, Director DSRS, gave his concluding remarks and maintained that India needs to work on its economic capacity so that it would help it to get political and military edge in its global ascendance.
