JAMMU, Apr 3: Director School Education, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh has issued directions to all the Chief Education Officers to revisit all the promotions of Class IV including Laboratory/Library bearers as per 1979 and 2008 Rules subject to the availability of vacancies and eligibility in order to assuage the grievances of the left out cases.
As per the order, the CEOs have been directed to prepare the seniority list under 1979 Rules as it should have existed on August 1, 2008 and work out the number of vacancies available under the Promotion Quota of Laboratory, Library and Junior Assistants as on August 1, 2008.
The Chief Education Officers have also been directed that seniority under 1979 Rules shall be displayed for objections at CEO/ZEO/Schools level and DSEJ website till April 25. The Director has directed for disposal of objections till April 30 after which vacancies under the Promotion Quota arising till August 1, 2008 will be filled up as per 1979 Rules after conducting DPC.
After excluding such promotees, a merged seniority of Class VIII employees, as per 2008 Rules, will be prepared for calling objections and this exercise will be completed by May 25. The objections will be disposed of till May 30 after which the vacancies under Promotion Quota will be filled up as per 2008 Rules after conducting DPC.
