Srinagar, Feb 22: With schools set to reopen on March 1, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) today issued a set of guidelines, directing schools to ensure a conducive environment and put necessary arrangements in place.
In a communication issued in this regard, all heads of institutions have been directed to adhere to the instructions, including celebrating the reopening of schools in a festive ambience to attract students to a welcoming school environment.
The Heads of Institutions have been asked to ensure proper mobilization, including preparing an Institutional Plan and timetable, as well as arranging sanitation and other necessities well in advance.
“The Heads of Institutions shall be responsible for ensuring all requisite arrangements are ready before the reopening of schools. They must also ensure that minor repairs or retrofitting, if required, related to drinking water, electricity, toilets, window panes, etc., are completed well in advance.”
Additionally, it has been directed that the heads must ensure the Biometric/JK Attendance Portal is in working condition and updated as per the current staff in position.
Further, they have been instructed to ensure that school premises are neat, clean, and decorated with a festive outlook.
“The Complex/Cluster Heads shall hold sensitization sessions with their respective cluster schools to prepare all concerned for the reopening of schools in light of the above instructions.”
