VIJAYPUR, June 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Vijaypur area have attached three alleged drug peddlers’ properties worth approximately 81 lakh.
The properties of Mohammad Younus, Masoom Ali alias Kaka, and Shams Din alias Bachu, all residents of Rakh Barotian, have been attached under section 68-F of the NDPS Act, a police official said.
He said the action was taken in connection with FIR numbers 07/2025, 46/2023, and 108/2023 registered under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Vijaypur.
According to the police official, these houses were identified during investigations as illegally acquired properties, bought using proceeds from drug trafficking.
“The crackdown is part of the ongoing efforts by the police to break the financial backbone of the drug trade in the region,” said the police official.
Pertinently, the operation was carried out by a special team led by SHO Vijaypur under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
