POONCH, June 13: Continuing its drive against drugs on the directions of Excise Commissioner M Raju and Deputy Commissioner Excise, Jammu Amarjeet Singh and under supervision of ETO Rajouri- Poonch Range VS Pawar today, Excise team Poonch led by Inspector Excise Mohd Arif achieved a major success when a drug peddler was nabbed with 60 gms of heroin at Sakhi Maidan in Mendhar.
The drug peddler was identified as Mohd Nasar, son of Mohd Rafiq, resident of Sakhi Maidan, in tehsil Mendhar. A case under Section 8/21 of NDPS Act was registered against him besides case number ESRP-K 34 stands registered at Sub Range office Poonch. Further, investigation was in progress to work out the links and break the nexus of drug -peddlers/ smugglers.
