JAMMU, July 13: A drug peddler was arrested with over 8 kilograms of Ganja-like-substance from Narwal area here today.
During routine patrolling duties, a team of Police Post Narwal, led by incharge Police Post concerned, assisted by other officials, intercepted a suspicious person near Railway Pulli Narwal, a police official said.
On search of the suspected person, later identified as Sudersan Ray of Vaishali, Bihar, 8 kilograms and 30 grams of the Ganja-like-substance was recovered, he said.
Accordingly, the police official said, the accused was taken into custody and booked in case FIR number 220/2025 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.
Meanwhile, police have started further investigation into the matter.
