KISHTWAR, Dec 11: Police here today arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered heroin-like narcotic substance from him.
Sharing details in this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh said that cops led by SHO Police Station Kishtwar Inspector Firdous Ahmed and assisted by PSI Sofi Ashraf, on a routine patrolling near entry point at Malipath, under the close supervision of Additional SP Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh Goria noticed suspicious movement of an individual and apprehended him.
During his search, 4 gm heroin-like substance was recovered.
The accused was identified as Irshad Ahmed, son of Abdul Wahid Bazdar, resident of Link Road, Kishtwar.
In this regard, a case in FIR No. 254/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
