JAMMU, Apr 12: Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu has arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered heroin-like-substance worth Rs 9 lakh from his possession.
Gagan Kumar of Mukerian, district Hoshiyarpur, Punjab at present Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, was arrested with the contraband from Bari Brahmana, a GRP official said.
Accordingly, the accused has been booked in case FIR number 17/2025 under various sections of the NDPS act registered at Police Station GRP Jammu and further investigation started, he said.
This was the second recovery of the banned drugs from Bari Brahamana area and fourth recovery made by the GRP Jammu in the current year so far.
