JAMMU, July 3: A drug peddler was arrested with 16 grams of heroin-like-substance from Bishnah area here today.
During investigation in case FIR number 63/2025 registered under sections 8, 21, 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bishnah, one Mohammad Nazir of Dramthal, Narsoo Nallah, Udhampur, at present Sikanderpur Kothey, Bishnah, was arrested with 16 grams of the heroin-like-substance from Sikanderpur Kothey area, a police official said.
The arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Sushil Choudhary, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
Meanwhile, further investigation in the case is underway to identify the source of the contraband and to uncover the broader network involved in the crime.
