KISHTWAR, Apr 1: Police here today arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin-like narcotic substance from him.
SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh informed that cops from Police Station Kishtwar led by SHO Kishtwar, Inspector Firdous Ahmed and assisted by I/C Police Post Shalimar PSI Hiteshwar Singh along with other cops had laid a Naka near Sarthal Morh under the supervision of Additional SP Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh Goria.
During Naka checking, cops apprehended one Suhail Ahmed, son of Shabir Ahmed, resident of Banderna and during his search about 6 gram of heroin-like narcotic substance was recovered. The accused was arrested on the spot.
Accordingly, FIR No. 64/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kishtwar in this regard and investigation started.
