JAMMU, Mar 22: An alleged drug peddler was arrested with 5.50 grams of heroin-like substance from near Lohan Park area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Janipur here today.
A police official said during naka checking near Lohan Park area, a suspicious individual driving an auto (JK02DM-3166) was intercepted by a team of Police Station Janipur, led by SHO concerned, Inspector Vikram Sharma.
On search of the person, later identified as Parshotam Kumar (28) of Khajuria Mohalla, approximately 5.50 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered, he said.
Accordingly, the accused was taken into custody and booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Janipur, with further investigation set into motion.
