JAMMU, Nov 25: An alleged drug peddler was arrested with 9.10 grams of heroin-like substance in Bus Stand area here today.
During routine patrolling, a team of Bus Stand Police Station led by Inspector Inder Pal Singh, SHO concerned, noticed a suspect trying to run away on seeing the police, a police official said.
When put to search, the police party recovered 9.10 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession, he said.
Accordingly, the suspected individual, later identified as Mohammad Rabul Islam of West Bengal was arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bus Stand and further investigation taken up, added the police official.
