JAMMU, July 19: An alleged drug peddler was arrested with 4.17 grams of heroin-like-substance from Lohan Park, Paloura area here today. During routine surveillance operation, a police team led by PSI Basharat Ahmed, along with Selection Grade Constables (SgCTs) Zameer Singh and Narjeev Sharma under the supervision of SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma apprehended a drug peddler identified as Mohammad Tanveer Malik of Ward Number 10, Mohalla Qasba, tehsil and district Poonch, with the consignment and a sharp weapon (khokhri) from Lohan Park, Paloura area, said a police official.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 105/2025 under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Janipur and further investigation taken up, he said.
