UDHAMPUR, Mar 22: Police arrested an inter-district drug peddler in Majalta and recovered heroin like substance from his possession.
A Majalta police team during naka checking intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02DG-0107 coming from Manwal side towards Roun Domail.
On questioning, the rider disclosed his identity as Lakshay Sharma, son of Subash Chander of Kanyala, Dansal, Jammu. During his personal search, 3.12 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, the accused was arrested on the spot and FIR No. 90/2026 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at the Police Station Udhampur. Further investigation into the case is underway.
