RAJOURI, Jan 29: The police arrested a drug-peddler and recovered some quantity of heroin from his possession from Manjakote area today.
An official spokesman said that a police party from Manjakote led by SHO, Inspector Imran Khan apprehended a drug-peddler at Manjakote town and recovered 3.5 grams of heroin from his possession. The accused has been identified as Ravees Ahmed, son of Khazir Mohd, resident of Behrote, Tehsil Thanamandi in district Rajouri.
A case FIR No. 05/2026 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Manjakote in this connection. Further investigation is underway to trace the supply chain and identify other individuals involved in the drug network.
