UDHAMPUR, Jan 1: Police arrested a drug peddler at Tikri and recovered 5.30 grams heroin from his possession.
During routine traffic checking, a Police party at naka Point Tikri noticed a suspicious individual moving on foot from Manthal side towards Tikri. On spotting the naka, the person attempted to retreat but was swiftly apprehended by the police naka party.
Upon questioning, the individual disclosed his identity as Sunny Kumar son of Des Raj of Omara Morh, PTC, Udhampur. During his personal search, 5.30 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession following which he was taken into custody.
Accordingly, FIR No. 02/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rehambal.
