RAJOURI, Sept 18: The police arrested a drug-peddler and recovered some quanity of heroin from his possession in Chingus area today.
Reports said a Police party from Pollice Post Chingus during naka at Kallar, intercepted a Maruti Ignis car coming from Nowshera side towards Rajouri. The naka party started questioning the occupant of the vehicle who disclosed his identity as Sajad Hussain Shah, son of Sarfaraz Hussain Shah, a resident of Potha in Surankote Poonch.
During his personal search the police recovered about 3 gms grams of heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 472/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri against the accused.
