JAMMU, Nov 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Udhampur’s Chenani area today claimed they have arrested a drug peddler with around 230 grams of Charas.
During routine naka checking at Motor Shed Naka Point, NHW Chenani, a red Tavera (UK08TA-0812) coming from Kashmir side was intercepted, a police official said.
On search of the vehicle, he said, 229.38 grams of Charas concealed inside the driver-side window panel was recovered.
Accordingly, the driver of the vehicle, identified as Saleem Khan of Soch Brah, Tehsil Shangus, District Anantnag, was arrested and booked in case FIR number 122/2025 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Chenani and further investigation taken up, he said.
