SAMBA, Dec 30: Police here today arrested a drug peddler from Ramgarh area and recovered about 9.65 gram heroin like substance from him.
Cops from Police Station Ramgarh during a vehicle checking Naka at Tarapur, intercepted a two-wheeler of Scooty make bearing registration number JK21A-0324 coming from Rakh Barotian and moving towards Gudwal.
During checking the two-wheeler, approximately 9.65 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from the possession of the rider identified as Neeraj Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar, resident of Chak Manga, Tehsil & district Samba and he was arrested and the contraband item was seized along with the Scooty.
A case in FIR No. 94/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Ramgarh in this regard and investigation started. The arrest was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
