JAMMU, Sept 1: A drug peddler was arrested with 6.5 kilograms of Ganja-like-substance from Narwal area here today.
During routine patrolling duties near Shankar Nagar Narwal, a police team noticed one individual moving under suspicious circumstances, a police official said.
On search of the suspect, identified as Sunil Kumar Chouhan of Chhattisgarh at present Channi Rama, 6.5 kilograms of Ganja-like-substance was recovered, he said.
Accordingly, the accused was arrested and booked in case FIR number 261/2025 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation taken up, he added.
