Drug peddler held with 322 grams Ganja-like substance

JAMMU, Jan 28: An alleged drug peddler was arrested with 322 grams of Ganja-like substance from Jagti Migrant Colony area here today, officials said.
During naka checking near Sub-District Hospital, Jagti Colony, a team of Police led by PSI Rajat Kumar intercepted a Scooty (JK02DJ-3172) for checking, they said.
On noticing the police, the biker tried to flee but was swiftly apprehended by the alert police personnel, officials said, adding that when he was thoroughly searched, 322 grams of Ganja-like narcotic substance was recovered from his scooty.
Accordingly, the accused identified as Vishal Koul of 80/17, Jagti Migrant Colony, Nagrota, Jammu was arrested and booked in case FIR number 23/2026 under sections 8/20/25 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation set into motion, officials added.
