JAMMU, Jan 14: A drug peddler was arrested with 20 kilograms of poppy straw from Greater Kailash here today.
Acting on the tip off, Sunny Gupta of Teli Basti at present Bari Brahmana, Samba, was arrested with the consignment when he was on his way towards Greater Kailash area, a police official said.
He said the accused was accordingly booked in case FIR number 09/2025 under sections 8/15 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Gangyal and further investigation taken up.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Post Greater Kailash led by PSI Wasim Bhatti under the supervision and guidance of SHO Gangyal, Inspector Satvir Singh and overall supervision of SP South Ajay Sharma.
