Drug peddler held with 2.410 Kg ganja-like-substance

KATHUA, June 4: An alleged drug peddler was arrested with 2.410 kilograms of ganja-like-substance from Galak area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Ramkot here.
During naka duty at Galak area on June 3, a party of Police Post Ramkot led by incharge Police Post concerned Ranbeer Singh under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Neeraj Padyar and SHO Billawar Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq arrested one Naresh Kumar of Dharasiv tehsil Bilaigarh, district Baloda Bazar, Chhattisgarh at present Hiranagar with 2.410 kilograms of ganja-like-substance, a police official said.
The accused was accordingly booked in case FIR number 88/2025 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Billawar and further investigation taken up, he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure operation was supervised by SSP Kathua, Shobhit Saxena.
