JAMMU, Dec 16: A drug peddler was arrested with 19.54 grams of heroin in Bishnah area here today.
Acting on specific and reliable information, a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Rakesh Singh Jamwal established a naka at Kothey Hosyrou and intercepted a biker for checking, a police official said.
On search of the individual, later identified as Vishal Singh of Kothey Hosyrou, 19.54 grams of heroin was recovered, the police official said.
Accordingly, the accused was arrested and booked in case FIR number 140/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up to ascertain the source of the narcotics and to identify the other persons involved in the drug network, he said.
