JAMMU, Sept 1: A drug peddler was arrested with 15 grams of heroin-like-substance from Rani Tallab area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Gandhi Nagar here today.
During routine patrolling, a suspicious individual was spotted by the party of Police Post Digiana at Rani Tallab near Peer Baba Digiana, a police official said.
On search of the suspect, later identified as Mohammad Zakif of Madhwal near Allah Ditta School, Rakh Badali, Udhampur, 15 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered, he said.
Accordingly, the police official said, the accused was arrested and booked in case FIR number 192/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation set into motion.
