SAMBA, June 17: A drug peddler was arrested from Swankha area here falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh and 1.600 kilograms of ganja-like-substance was recovered from his possession.
Acting on specific tip off, a party of Police Station Ramgarh intercepted one person moving under suspicious circumstances near Swankha and recovered the consignment from his possession, a police official said.
Identified as Amarish Kumar of Bihar at present Bari Brahamana, the accused was accordingly arrested and booked in case FIR number 42/2025 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Ramgarh and further investigation started, he said.
