RAJOURI, Mar 14: Anti- drugs squad of Rajouri police today nabbed a peddler and recovered charas from his possession.
Reports said that a team of anti- drugs squad led by DySP Operations Iftikar Qureshi and SI Mukesh Kumar laid a special naka at Churungh bridge of Thanamandi and intercepted one drug peddler namely Manwar Ahmed son of Mohammad Bashir resident of Churungh Thanamandi.
The accused person on seeing the police party tried to fled away from the spot and after hard chasing the said accused was apprehended and nine rolls of Charas, Challian of Charas, weighing 180 gm were recovered from his possession.
A case FIR No. 30/2016 U/S 8/20/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Thannamandi.
