JAMMU, July 13: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered large quantity of intoxicants from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Gandhi Nagar Police Station led by PSI Deepak Thakur under the supervision of SP South Rajeshwar Singh and SHO Inspector Rajinder Sharma conducted raid at Rampura and arrested a drug peddler, who has been identified as Vikram Singh, son of Amarjeet Singh of Rampura.
From his possession, police recovered 1950 intoxicant capsules.
A case under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against him.
