Drug peddler held with around 500 intoxicants

JAMMU, June 8: A drug peddler working as a labourer was arrested along with around 500 intoxicant capsules near Chatha area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gadigarh police post.
As per police sources, a police team from Gadigarh police post laid a naka near Peer Baba, Chatha and intercepted a labourer, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 470 intoxicant capsules and arrested the accused, who has been as Raman Kumar, son of Surjeet Singh of Chatha.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gadigarh police post and investigation started.
Police party led by incharge Police Post Gadigarh Khyati Maan Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Sohail Rashid, SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh and SP South Rahul Malik.
