RAMBAN, Aug 5: Police here today booked a notorious drug peddler Surjeet Singh, son of Mangat Ram, resident of Village Chapran, Pogal Paristan (Ukhral) under PIT Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act (NDPSA) for his repeated involvement in selling and distributing contraband narcotics among the populace of Ukhral and adjoining areas.
On the directions of SSP Ramban, a dossier of Surjeet Singh was prepared and submitted to the competent authority for approval.
Subsequently, the case was duly processed and after obtaining sanction from the competent authority, the drug peddler was detained under PIT NDPS Act and lodged in District Jail Poonch.
