JAMMU, July 9: Akhnoor police arrested a drug peddler and recovered large quantity of intoxicant capsules from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Akhnoor Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sanjeev Gupta under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 250 intoxicant capsules from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Sonu, son of Bansi Lal, a resident of Palma, tehsil Akhnoor, district Jammu.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
