KISHTWAR, Aug 18: Chatroo Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per official sources, a team from Police Station Chatroo led by PSI Ankush Sharma laid a naka at Sangambati under the supervision of DySP DAR Zia-Ul-Haq and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 40 grams cannabis from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman of Phalgam Sigdi.
A case under FIR Number 69/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation started.
