UDHAMPUR, Feb 18: Udhampur police today arrested a drug peddler and seized 200 grams of cannabis from his possession.
The accused, identified as Tariq Hussain, son of Bashir Ahmed of Sambal Danga, Udhampur was apprehended when he was on way to Udhampur from Gandalla. During search, 200 grams of cannabis was recovered from him.
The arrest was made by a police party, led by SHO Udhampur Inspector Chanchal Singh, under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur, while patrolling at Gandalla road.
In this connection, a case FIR number 67/2021, U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is going on.
