UDHAMPUR, Mar 31: Udhampur Police arrested one drug peddler and recovered 6.10 grams of contraband heroin like substance from his possession.
The accused, identified as Tanveer Ahmed, son of Jaan Mohd of Jakhani, near Grid Station Udhampur, was apprehended when he was riding a Scooty JK02BD-9088 on Circular Road, near minibus stand, where a Police naka was established under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Udhampur Sahil Mahajan.
In this regard, case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur. Further investigation is underway.
