SRINAGAR, Feb 21: Police today arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla district and recovered charas from his possession.
A police team stationed at a checkpoint set up at Dhobiwan Crossing intercepted a Tavera vehicle (registration number JK01BD-2547) driven by Adil Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar, a resident of Hardu Aboora.
“During the search, approximately 28 grams of a charas-like substance was recovered from his possession,” a police spokesperson said.
The accused was arrested on the spot and the vehicle was seized.
Police said a case has been registered under FIR No. 15/2026 at Police Station Kunzer under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway.
