SRINAGAR, Feb 8: Police today arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered charas from his possession.
According to the authorities, a police party during naka checking near Eco Park arrested a person who has been identified as Arshid Ahmed Sheikh son of Mohd Maqbool Sheikh resident of Fatehgarh.
“During his personal search, 135.5 grams of charas-like substance was recovered from his possession,” police said.
Accordingly, a case has been registered vide FIR No. 03/2026 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Sheeri and investigation has been taken up.
